It is the service most valued by producers and is also seen as a fair trade mechanism. The coffee growers have this service continuously, in addition to the logistic and collection capacity offered by the Federation through an extensive network of more than 500 points of purchase nationwide, owned by 33 coffee farmers’ cooperatives.
This service began operating in 1958 and guarantees producers the purchase of their coffee at the best base price in the market, with cash payment, calculated transparently, without intermediaries, in places close to their farms and throughout the year.
This extensive network has presence even in the most remote places of the national geography, so that producers can sell their coffee in places close to their farms and thus avoid incurring considerable transportation costs.
